Dining Room

I still have two mirrors to put on the wall where the buffet is. I would also like to paint this area a neutral color. Any suggestions? This is our new lighting fixture. You can see the old one from the BEFORE pictures.

These are the pictures of the house BEFORE we moved in. I will start to take pictures of the house now and post them over the next couple weeks.

Main Bathroom

As the title said...this is our main bathroom....the only other room I have painted so far.=)

Master Bedroom

My camera has been charged, so here at the pictures of the master bedroom.

We still have decorations that are in boxes in the garage and our bedroom needs another curtain and a rod so that the curtains aren't crooked. The curtains are crimson and velvet. The color is hard to see in the picture.

Pictures of the Puppies

We got pictures of the puppies! Two of the puppies didn't make it, so there are now 2 boys and 2 girls. We get to choose which puppy we want in a few weeks once they develop more in personality and looks. They only 2.5 weeks old, but still so adorable!

Mission Paint Bedroom: COMPLETED

Thanks for all of your input a couple weeks back when I was deciding what color to paint our bedroom. After going back and forth, I decided to take the risk and paint the room goldish. The picture above was my inspiration.*Thanks Lauren!* The paint I got is a bit darker than what is shown here, but pretty close to it.

(I wish that were actually my room, but I live in a lived in room!!=)

Unfortunatly, our room is a mess and not worthy of taking a picture of the paint yet. I just finished painting it like 2 minutes ago! So, tomorrow when the paint dries, I will try and get the room in order and snap a picture and post it.....probably not tomorrow though.....(my battery is dead and the charger is MIA.)

I am going to look around for more red accents to go in the room.

Anyway, thanks again! Ezra's room is next! I already have a color picked out though.

LA Dream Center

In April, Ross and I are going to the Los Angeles Dream Center! We are on the youth staff at our church and we will be going as leaders with teenagers in the youth group as well as several other leaders. We are so excited! The LA Dream Center's mission is to "transform LA's inner city and the lives of those facing homelessness, poverty, and hopelessness. They offer opportunities for at risk youth, low income families, to reach self-sufficiency by providing assistance in areas of counseling, mentorship, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, and health care."
They have several ministries going on all the time. They rely on volunteers. Some people help out for a weekend, others for a year. We have the privilage to be able to go for a whole week. I am so excited to be there, to be shocked, and to be stretched. I know I will be transformed while there. I am so excited to see the students of the youth group be transformed as well.
I am ready to be used and stretched in a whole new way. Please be praying for us as we prepare to go on this trip.

Paint Color Needed!

I have NO idea what color I should paint our bedroom. We have a gold bedspread with black designs on it. We also have ivory, gold, black, and deep red accents. Now, what color should I paint our walls?!? If you have ANY suggestions please let me know!!! Thanks!!!

First Improvement

Ross and I made our first home improvement the other night. We replaced a hall light that looked like a seashell with the below light. We are pretty proud of ourselves. This will be the first small project of many! I have a new chandelier for our dining room. I will post pics of that as soon as we get that up. How I LOVE being a homeowner!

We are Puppy Parents

Our puppy was born today! Most people don't know yet, but we are getting a dog. We reserved a dog in a litter and he was born today!


We are going to be goldendoodle parents! See pictures below of what these dogs look like. They are so adorable! A friend of ours has one and we all fell in love with him. They are really personable and smart dogs...they are also NON SHED and HYPOALLERGENIC!!!=)
Goldendoodles are mix of a pure golden retriever and a pure poodle. Our dog inpaticular was bred with a standard golden retriever and a mini poodle! We will get him in April!!

Never Again

Why did I choose to go to Walmart on a Saturday the day after people get paid??!??! Stupidity.
Good thing I learn from my mistakes....never again will I go to Walmart on a Saturday right after payday. Well, I shouldn't say never....see below blog.
