O Christmas Tree

Last Saturday evening we put on our Christmas music and I made Ezra some hot cocoa and we got the tree decorated! Ezra was so excited the whole time and did a great job helping! We do the fake tree thing. Less mess. Also we got a tree for 25 dollars 5 years ago and we are still getting our money's worth out of it! I kept the decorations simple this year, but I have to admit even just having the tree feels nice.
Okay, so after the tree was up and decorated we were corny and sang a few Christmas songs. Ezra went to bed and then I made myself hot cocoa and then Ross and I watch Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian w/ the tree all lit up. It was a very nice and warm evening in our household.
Sound to much like Leave it to Beaver??!? Well, I did leave out the part where the Christmas tree got tipped over and a few of my childhood decorations got broken! Ezra's favorite Bob the tomato bulb got broke too! Well, I was emotional and about started to cry and then I dropped a dog ornament and it was decapitated! Ross and I just about died laughing. Oh fun times.

I can't believe that Ross is allergic to Pine trees. that must make this time of year very difficult for him.

So, for the first part of your post, I was thinking, "Oh how cute, the picture-perfect holiday!" and then the other shoe dropped. I'm sorry your ornaments broke, but hopefully you will have the chance to replace them at an after-christmas sale (if you're up for shopping the week after you give birth!).
