I felt fall in the air this morning. I woke up and the air was crisp. It made me smile. Fall is my favorite season of all. I love pulling out sweaters and slippers to wear to stay cozy. I love walking and seeing the leaves changing colors. I love how the crisp air seems to make me enjoy being a housewife even more. (The hot summer weather makes me not want to be indoors because of how hot our house gets.) The fall weather keeps me inside a little more to organize, clean, write letters, and bake. I love how I can start pulling out hearty warm casserole recipes to make.
Oh this is just the best time of year.
I love the changing seasons. It reminds me of my changing spiritual seasons. I've seemed to be in a dry season latley. I have needed to be refreshed and rejuvinated for a few months now. I seek the Lord daily and bring before Him my desire to serve Him with excitment and enthusiasm. I am sure a lot of the dryness I feel is because of the stressful times we are going through with Ross' career change and my crazy pregnancy hormones. I continue to worship Him and praise Him in this season too. As I was thinking about the changing seasons, I was reminded that my "dry" season will be changing soon too. Usually I would write about a "dry" season after it was over, but maybe you all could just be praying for us and all the adjustments we are facing.
Another reason I just love the crispness in the air this morning is that I feel like I am getting one season closer to having our December baby! Honestly, I have felt like summer has dragged on forever! With it being September 1st and kids are going back to school, and I am seeing fall items in the store, and the change in the air, I am encouraged that it won't be summer forever and I won't be pregnant forever!
What do you love about the fall season?
LOVE fall... It might be my favorite! But more recently I've been recognizing that whatever season is next... is usually my favorite! But I especially love fall. Ofcourse it is still nearly 90 degrees here; but you can feel the crispness in the morning air! LOVE it... And it always makes me want to cook soup or chili and veg on the couch and watch football!
