Snow Fun!

It's starting to feel like Christmas! We have snow on the ground! Growing up in Alaska, it has been strange for me to have Christmas' with out snow. We have really enjoyed having snow on the ground the last few days. I hope it sticks around for Christmas!

Nesting Mates

I have three products that have been my "nesting mates".

My number one is my Oreck Vacuum Cleaner!

#2) Clorox Wipes! I love the clean smell! I use these on counter tops, sinks, toilets, corners of floors.....you name it! I also use the Kirkland brand cleaning wipes from Costco....whichever has a coupon.

#3) An old favorite that I just got reunited with...Magic Erasers! I thought we were going to have to repaint some walls because they looked a bit dirty (thanks to a 3 year old's hands)....well a good scrubbing with the Magic Eraser and they are as clean and as fresh looking as ever!!

O Christmas Tree

Last Saturday evening we put on our Christmas music and I made Ezra some hot cocoa and we got the tree decorated! Ezra was so excited the whole time and did a great job helping! We do the fake tree thing. Less mess. Also we got a tree for 25 dollars 5 years ago and we are still getting our money's worth out of it! I kept the decorations simple this year, but I have to admit even just having the tree feels nice.
Okay, so after the tree was up and decorated we were corny and sang a few Christmas songs. Ezra went to bed and then I made myself hot cocoa and then Ross and I watch Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian w/ the tree all lit up. It was a very nice and warm evening in our household.
Sound to much like Leave it to Beaver??!? Well, I did leave out the part where the Christmas tree got tipped over and a few of my childhood decorations got broken! Ezra's favorite Bob the tomato bulb got broke too! Well, I was emotional and about started to cry and then I dropped a dog ornament and it was decapitated! Ross and I just about died laughing. Oh fun times.

37 weeks---14 days..OR LESS!

I had a GREAT doctor's appointment today! I am 3 cm dialted and 50% effaced!! Yay! It is so nice to know my body is thinking about labor and preparing for it! I was having contactions last night, but they weren't regular nor did they get stronger. We'll keep you posted if anything else changes! I am hoping to hold out until my mom gets here the night of the 19th! I would LOVE for her to be here when Grace is born!

Zoo Lights

Last night we had a Jackson Family Fun Night! We went to Norma's for a grease burger, then we headed up to Tacoma's Point Defiance Zoo for "Zoo Lights"! We got all bundled up and walked all around the zoo and looked at over 1/2 a million Christmas lights! They had lights that looked like animals in the woods with Christmas music playing all throughout in the speakers. We were all disappointed that we didn't get to see any real animals since they were all put away for the night. We did get to warm up in the aquarium and look at the new exhibits and the old favorites. After 2 hours of oohing and awing we decided it was time for hot chocolate. So, we got loaded up in the car to search out a coffee shop. Ezra was especially good at finding coffee places, unfortunately they were closed. We found a well known coffee place, but they were having a private party that we were not invited too! So, an hour later we found a Starbucks and all enjoyed our favorite coffee beverages. (Who would have thought it would have taken so long to find coffee at 8pm on a Friday night in the greater Seattle area?!) It was a really fun and festive evening spent together as a family!

36 Weeks

3 Weeks left! 21 more days!

I have needed some serious relaxation time lately. I have been extra tired and to be honest, I have been a big ol' grump. My poor husband. He has been so wonderful to me through all of my mood swings and emotional outbursts! Pregnancy doesn't bring out the best in me....
Last Saturday I got just what I needed! Ross let me go to the spa for a pregnancy massage! Oh my goodness, it was the best. I have a favorite spa in Tacoma that is just gorgeous. I had the most relaxing 60 minutes. I also got my hair cut and colored on Saturday. I needed a day to just get beautified and get to relax! I have a wonderful husband who let me have a day all to myself! I didn't even experience any mommy guilt for doing it!----What is mommy guilt? It is what most mothers do to themselves....they feel guilty about taking time for themselves. I usually experience mommy guilt when I take time for myself. I refused to do it on Saturday though. I knew I would be a happier wife and mommy if I did take the time and enjoy it!

Okay, here are the pictures...........
