13 weeks

Well, the beginning of the 13th week was an eventful one! We give God all the praise for saving our baby's life! This baby is a miracle and we will never forget that.
My mom took Ezra up to Alaska yesterday! The house has been VERY quiet with Ezra gone, so I have been able to kick my feet up and get some much needed rest. I miss him already, but know that this is the best thing for me and this growing baby.
We got to see the baby in two ultrasounds on Monday and Tuesday. The baby was moving around like crazy and doing flips and had a very strong heartbeat. The heart beat was at 150 in the ER. I am not sure what the rate was at the Dr's on Tuesday. He said it was good and strong though.
Okay, here is a picture for your amusement.=)
Thanks again for all of your prayers.

Baby Update

Thanks so much for your prayers! I had an appt today and my cervix has closed back up! Which is a miracle because the doctor at the ER said once they open, then either continue to open or they just stay the same! So we are praising God for that! I had a tear in placenta, but that is also healing really well and the bleeding is almost gone. I am at risk for more placenta problems, so I have to see a high risk doctor for the pregnancy now, but am just so happy that everything is going to be okay. We saw the baby again today and it was moving around and looked really good. I am supposed to take things really easy and not lift or be on my feet for too long. It might be a long pregnancy for me, but it will be worth it to have another precious baby.
Thanks again for your prayers. God answered them!
Love,
Angel

Please Pray!

I woke up at 1am with blood soaked shorts and I was still bleeding heavily. We went to the ER and my HCG levels were great and we got an ultrasound and the baby was flipping around, waving, and looking very healthy. The heartbeat was at 150. They did see hemorrhaging on the placenta which is what was causing the bleeding. My cervix has also opened slightly. If my cervix continues to open we will lose the baby in 24-48 hrs. The hemorrhage will fix itself with me taking it really easy. I will still be bleeding for a few days. I have an appt tomorrow to get check out again and will get another ultrasound. I can't lift over ten lbs and am pretty much going to be on the couch or in bed until the bleeding has stopped and the cervix issue is confirmed to be okay.
Please pray that my cervix won't open any further and that that baby stays healthy as do I.
God hears our prayers. He is a God of miracles and can heal me completely! We need your prayer right now.

Happy 3rd Birthday Ezra!

My little man Ezra is 3 today! What a boy he is! He is full of personality and adventure. He doesn't know a stranger. I love his smiling eyes, his big hugs, butterfly kisses, and dirty hands!
Ezra is almost potty trained. He tells us after his birthday he will always use the toilet. When he makes up his mind to do something he goes for it. He is a bit strong willed in a sweet way.
Ezra is also very independent. If he wants to turn on a light and I turn it on first, he will turn off the light just so he can turn in on all by himself!

I am so thankful for Ezra. He makes Ross and I laught and smile daily. I couldn't ask for more in a son.
Happy Birthday Ezra! We love you and are so proud of you!

12 weeks

My appointment went great on Monday. We heard the baby's heartbeat. It was at 160 beats per minute. My next appt will be at 16 weeks.

The baby is the size of a lime now!
The last 2 days I have been really worn out. I was feeling like my energy was coming back, but not this week. Next week I'll be in the 2nd trimester, so hopefully I'll really get my energy back.

My Family

I love them a lot. Ezra will be three on the 20th and Ross and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary on the 28th! We have had so many adventures as a little family. I am so thankful for my joyful son and my supportive husband. More about them on the 20th and the 28th.=)

11 weeks

I am feeling great! I still am going for an early bedtime, but otherwise I am good! I am rather emotional lately. Just about anything that is upsetting to me makes me choke up and burst out in tears. I'll survive this sensitivity phase!

The baby is the size of a plum now!

I have my first appointment with the midwife next Monday.

Sorry---no pictures this week, I'm not feeling it today.=) Maybe next week....

Size of a Kumquat

Okay, I did a quick search and found out what a kumquat is! It is a type of orange.....see pictures below!=) So this is about the size of the baby.

10 Weeks

I am growing! I have caught people staring at my belly the last 2 days. I can see the wheels turning in their head, " Is she pregnant? Should I say something?" They haven't said anything yet...but they are looking!
I was so blessed this past week. A friend of mine is letting me borrow her maternity clothes. I have 2 huge containers full of really nice clothes to wear now!
I feel like 90% better than the last 2 weeks! I am no longer throwing up!!! Praise Jesus! I have a lot more energy too! I do still need to lay down in the afternoon for a little bit, but besides that I am good to go! I am craving anything fruity!! I can't get enough of watermelon and fruity gummy candy!
The baby has tripled size in the past 3 weeks...so it is the size of a kumquat....whatever that is!
The baby's digestive system is working now and the placenta is doing it's job!

Julius- 4 Months Old

Julius is slowly starting to grow on me. The first month or so, I was having second thoughts about having a dog. He has started obedience school and that is helping a lot. It is mostly training for me on how to handle him. He is housebroken now, which is nice. I still don't allow him upstairs on the carpet though. I just don't think animals need free roam of the whole house. I am not exactly an animal lover. I am starting to love Julius though. He is just so sweet. Having him has been the best thing for Ezra too. He helps me feed him, take him for walks, and they play together a lot! Ezra is always very excited to wake up and see Julius in the mornings.

Julius is now 22 lbs!

Face in the Pavement

Last week Ezra fell on our cement stairs in the backyard straight onto his face. His nose was all scratched up, and he had a bloody nose! He had a great time the next day reenacting exactly how it happened to about 50 people at church! He is a very animated child.
Here are pictures of the healing process!
